A five-minute practice
Breath Prayer
Breathing in, I receive peace. Breathing out, I offer love.
Five quiet minutes
Let the breath carry the prayer.
Sit in a comfortable position. Let your breathing be natural. There is no need to make the breath deep or slow. When your attention wanders, return gently to the next breath.

How to practice
A simple rhythm.
- Feel the support of the chair and the ground beneath you.
- Allow the breath to come and go naturally.
- As you breathe in, silently say: I receive peace.
- As you breathe out, silently say: I offer love.
- When thoughts come, notice them without criticism and return to the prayer.
- At the end, sit quietly for one more breath before moving.
Another phrase to try
Breathing in: I am here.
Breathing out: I am held.
Carry it with you
One conscious breath can become a doorway.
